All right...months later....

A couple from the previous weekend. I've hardly taken my macro lens off the camera, and since getting the teleconverter it is almost always with it:

This little red spider/mite was running on something else. I put it on this leaf and spent a good few minutes chasing it all over.

The female horsefly, this is the part that hurts when they bite...

Hanging out

I'm always on the lookout for these little guys. It's really helpful when they sit still

Oh, Hai there!

Back from a long weekend in Chicago

We returned with very sore feet but had a great time. We got to a variety of places and I took a lot of photos. I find I tend towards black and white a lot in urban photos. A sampling below:

Spy or secret agent?
No one knew what her plan was...

Obviously black and white wouldn't have really worked here...
I'm not sure but I think the blue ones aren't ripe for licking

Again...some time since last post...I again struggle to update this site, but will get better at it. Not sure why I worry about it, it's primarily for me anyway...

New year, new attempt at posting more often....

Outside the windows this morning everything had a coating of ice...except for some reason the car. I guess that's because I didn't have to drive anywhere early today.

Frosty pine

Just chillin'

And just so it doesn't seem that I'm only posting icy trees now...we sort of developed the tradition of Santa bringing our daughter new slippers for Christmas, and having something else she wanted wearing them. This year she wanted a Domo (not sure why) and though these boot slippers were a little too big for it...it's in them...

These slippers are taken!

Quite a storm over the last day...that was a lot of shoveling, I managed to take a break to get some shots
